• Account information when you sign up — your name and email address (handled through our authentication provider).
• Trip details you enter — destinations, dates, preferences, group size, and similar inputs.
• Content you create — trips you choose to make joinable, join requests, and messages you send in group chats.
• Communications — messages you send us, such as feedback or support requests.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage and device data — pages viewed, actions taken, and approximate device/browser information, collected to understand and improve the Service.
• Cookies and similar technologies— see “Cookies and analytics” below.

Information from third parties:

• If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (such as your name and email) as permitted by your Google account settings.

• To provide and operate the Service, including generating trip plans and powering account and social features.
• To send you transactional and notification emails (for example, updates about trips you host or join). You can control certain notifications in your profile settings.
• To measure, analyze, and improve the Service.
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Trip plans are generated with the help of a third-party AI provider. The inputs you provide are sent to that provider to produce your itinerary. Generated content may be inaccurate or out of date — please see our Terms of Service.

We share information with vendors who process it on our behalf, only as needed to run the Service. These currently include Clerk (authentication), Vercel (hosting and infrastructure), Upstash (data storage), PostHog (product analytics), Resend (email delivery), Anthropic (AI trip generation), and Google (sign-in and maps/location).

We do not sell your personal information.

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality and for analytics to understand usage. Our analytics are configured to limit the collection of personal information. Depending on your location, we will seek your consent for non-essential cookies where required. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

The Service contains affiliate links to third-party booking and travel providers. If you click these links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Your activity and purchases on third-party sites are governed by those sites’ own privacy policies.

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data (see “Your rights”).

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We operate from the United States, and your information may be processed in countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those in your own country.

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date.
