Why it matters
True Blue opened in 1998 as Mike Strantz's follow-up to Caledonia, on land across the road. It is wilder than its sibling — bigger waste areas, more dramatic elevation, more risk-reward off the tee — and Myrtle Beach regulars are evenly split about which they prefer. Same Strantz strategic DNA, same Lowcountry setting, same management.
How to play it
Walking encouraged; carts available. Across the road from Caledonia. The two together are the obvious Pawleys 36-hole day. 30 minutes south of MYR.
