Why it matters
Pawleys Plantation is a Jack Nicklaus 1988 routing through Lowcountry oaks and tidal marsh near Caledonia and True Blue. It is the Nicklaus option in a Pawleys-Island stay otherwise dominated by Mike Strantz, and the marsh-edge holes on the back nine (13th and 17th in particular) are among the more dramatic finishing stretches on the south Strand.
