Why it matters

Tidewater sits on a bluff above the Cherry Grove marsh in North Myrtle — opened 1990, designed by Ken Tomlinson. The 4th, 12th, and 13th holes play along the marsh edge with the Atlantic on the horizon and are the most-photographed coastal sequence on the Strand. The course is the natural North Strand pairing with the Dunes Club further south.

How to play it

Cart standard. North Strand — closer to NC border than to MYR proper. Pair with The Dunes Club or with the Barefoot Resort's Love / Norman / Fazio / Dye trio (all next door) for a 36 or 54 hole North Strand day.
