Why it matters
TPC Myrtle Beach opened in 1999 as a Tom Fazio design in Murrells Inlet, midway between Myrtle Beach proper and the Pawleys-Island Strantz courses. It is the rare Strand course that has hosted a Senior Tour event (the Senior Tour Championship in 2000), and it remains one of the more polished daily-fee experiences on the south Strand — a smart middle-ground course between the splurge rounds at Caledonia / The Dunes Club and the volume daily-fee bench.
How to play it
20-25 minutes south of MYR. Pairs naturally with Caledonia + True Blue on the same south-Strand stay; a TPC + Pawleys Plantation day is a viable Fazio + Nicklaus 36-hole loop.
