Why it matters
West Cliffs sits on the Silver Coast above the Atlantic an hour north of Lisbon — a Cynthia Dye design that opened in 2017 and is the closest thing Portugal has to a true cliff-top links. It plays through dunes, scrub, and exposed coastal grass; the wind is real and the views to the ocean are constant. Praia D'El Rey, the sister course, sits five minutes away.

Cart standard. 60 minutes from Lisbon airport (LIS). The pair with Praia D'El Rey makes the Silver Coast a worthwhile two-day diversion from Lisbon — pack it as a Lisbon-coast week alongside Oitavos Dunes and Penha Longa.
