Why it matters
Spanish Bay is the third of the Pebble Beach Resorts main 18s — designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. with Tom Watson and Sandy Tatum to play as a true links on the dunes north of Pebble. The bagpiper who closes the course each evening is the signature tradition; the routing's ocean holes (1, 7, 17, 18) are the most-photographed after Pebble itself. The package-stay tier puts it on every serious Pebble Beach week.
How to play it
Best access is via stay-and-play through Pebble Beach Resorts. Cart available; walkable for the fit. Late-afternoon tee times pair best with the bagpiper closing ceremony.
