Why it matters
San Lorenzo sits next to Quinta do Lago on the same Ria Formosa lagoon and is what regulars play when they want a quieter, tighter round. Joseph Lee designed it in 1988; the closing five holes run along the lagoon and are among the best stretches in southern Europe. It is harder to book than Quinta — visitors typically need to stay at the Dona Filipa or one of the partner properties.

Cart standard. 25 minutes from Faro (FAO). Visitors book through resort partners — call ahead. Pair with Quinta do Lago South for the premium two-course Algarve day.
