Why it matters
Poppy Hills is owned by the Northern California Golf Association and sits right inside the Del Monte Forest, a short drive from Pebble. A 2014 renovation pulled out forced carries, widened corridors, and converted the greens to bentgrass — the result is the most strategically interesting peninsula round outside Pebble itself. NCGA members get a discount; everyone else still gets a reasonable rate for the quality.
How to play it
Bookable in advance. Walkable in cooler months; cart standard otherwise. The opening drive through the corridor of cypress is the signature visual.
