Why it matters
Black Desert opened in 2024 and is the most recent serious addition to the St George area. Tom Weiskopf routed the course through a black volcanic lava field with the red cliffs of Snow Canyon as the backdrop — the visual contrast is genuinely unlike anywhere else, and the course hosted a PGA Tour event in its first year. It's the splurge round of a southern Utah trip; the Sand Hollow rounds remain the value anchor.
How to play it
Bookable through the resort; tee times open about 90 days out for non-guests. Cart standard given the rough terrain between holes. Pair with a resort stay for the smoothest experience.
